Eddie Izzard Cast as Grandpa on Munsters Remake

Eddie Izzard is on his way to Mockingbird Lane.

The British actor/comedian will portray Grandpa Munster in the upcoming NBC pilot based on this iconic 1960s sitcom. It will be produced by Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) and Bryan Singer (X-Men) and go into production some time this summer.

Izzard is the first actor cast on reboot. He recently guest-starred on The Good Wife and enjoyed an extended arc on the final season of United States of Tara.
