NBC Picks Up Smash for Season 2
NBC officially sang the praises of Smash today, renewing the Broadway production-based drama for a second season.
While ratings and critical praise for the series have dropped since its premiere, Smash remains the network's most-watched drama for 18-49-year olds. It can likely expect an uptick before season one is through, as well, when Uma Thurman stops by for a multi-episode arc.
Smash airs a new episode on Monday, as Derek tries to stage a coup against Tom and Julia. Check out the official NBC promo for what's to come now.
UPDATE: Showrunner Theresa Rebeck will NOT be returning for season two.

Liking the show more and more but I still think they could learn a thing or two from the first season of Slings and Arrows.

Happy to see Smash has been renewed and I'm hoping they'll work on creating better storylines aside from good music :)
