Watch the US promo for "Flight" on Grey's Gabble (or elsewhere). At 16 seconds you'll see a shot from above of Mark hugging Meredith with Lexie's arm sticking out from under the tail of the plane where she's stuck. Just the way the shot is setup makes me think of a death scene with a slow pull-back. So my guess is it's Lexie who dies next week. She's trapped way worse than Arizona, who appears to be under an engine. And it would impact more people at the hospital than Arizona's death. They'll leave Arizona and Derek as the cliff-hangers for next season.

I think the problem is that you thinks as fans, and not as a "writer". Shonda built up a storyline for Mark and Lexie and a storyline for April, but she couldn't do anything with Arizona and Callie, there weren't any interesting happanings with them...so Shonda will not kill Lexie, or April! plus Lizzy Caplan is pregnant, plus this last epsiode was especially a tribute for Arizona. And we can see Lexie next to Mark in the promo of season finale!

I read an article where Chyler Leigh signed a 7 year contract when she came to Grey's in season 4. Hoping that keeps her on the show... LOVE HER! I cannot stand Arizona! She can go... I will be fine with that.

The comment Callie made to Arizona was "I will do what you can not do." I had to watch it again this morning because last night I was still processing it all. Arizona will likely be badly hurt-her wheelies will turn to wheelchair?? That would give the Callie-Arizona a different storyline. Derek is missing but can't see him totally out of the show because I feel GA will only go to 10 seasons and end so why cut out now? I was glad to see Yang and Grey walking around because if you need a doctor for an emergency then they are the best! Mark will be trying to save Lexi and Arizona, tough call for him. Wait until Callie hears the news....Teddy, Owen and Alex to the rescue. Who will be covering Seattle Grace with so many doctors gone? Love this show and will be ready for the finale as well as Seasons 9 and 10. After season 10.... then I will cry.

2nd choice will be Lexie, she had the worst, shortest Lines and scenes through this seasons as they did with George O'malley before killing him off, maybe Shonda is playing with fans emotions to let them believe that Lexie and Mark are getting back together when she is really planning to kill her off with a dramatic heart breaking scene when Lexie is dying in a plane crash surrounded with her lover, sister & brother-in-law
and also killing Lexie will give April her job back as she and Lexie were the only two who will be in 5 year residency the next year.
Least will be Mark and it will also be a heart breaking scene dying in the arms of Lexie after admitting to her that he loves her

My prediction: Arizona passes away... Karev takes her place. Derek is seriously injured, long recovery.. Meredith decides it is best to stay. Christina realizes she can work things out with Owen because she loves him, she stays. i don't know i'm making this up but I do think Arizona will die.. which will be seriously messed up for Callie.
This was a great Penultimate episode!
So the only 2 people that can be the one to die in the crash is Lexie or Arizona and I say it will be Arizona and it is for these reasons:
They would not kill of Lexie after she just confessed to Mark last week that she still loves him, Mark will be so freaked out about almost losing Lexie that he will choose her.
Arizona made the 2 fatal mistakes that one should never make (this I have learned from horror movies..LOL) she told Callie to never leave AND she took Karev's place on the plane. So she is the one that will die!

Why couldn't Owen get on the plane and he be the one that dies. I can't stand him, I have not liked him since he got off the ambulance in season 5. He can go away. And the whole Owen and Christina thing I am so over, move on.
If Arizona or somehow Callie dies, I am done with the show. Kepmer can go too she annoys the crap out of me. I kind of liked how Webber was trying to help Alex get everything he wanted but it did surprise me he was trying to get him away from SGH.

Just because Mark is walking around and talking, doesn't mean it's not him. I find that it's usually the people who seem unhurt, who die in the end. Their body keeps them going because of shock to the system. Mark is scared for lexi so maybe when she is found to be ok, he'll just collapse and die. It happened on Private Practice a couple of seasons ago, a major character died all of a sudden because no one realized he was hurt and he was tending to his hurt child.

First yes the main characters signed their new two year contracts, but the is a business and just like in business contracts can be broken and bought out so I wouldn't count on any of the main cast returning for sure
Secondly 15 min after the show ended ABC posted that GA was picked up for next season. It is odd this posted right after the show ended and 24 hrs after the press release that the original cast had all resigned their new contracts
Third we know a beloved character will die my suspicion is still Weber no one would see that coming. he has been the mentor to this whole group
There are hints that more than 1 person dies ok so yes they could take out Lexie and Arizonia which would be sad, but even sadder they live and there is a disaster back home that affects the others lets use an earthquake for example that happens right after they find the plane

I think Arizona will die. Then Seattle Grace will need Karev to stay in her place. Lexie will be gravely injured, so Mer will have to stay. McSteamy will have to deal with her, his girlfriend and Callie and that will make an interesting storyline for next year.

Mahala.....I totally agree with you!!!! if you watch the promo Mark is hugging Yang he looks like he's almost falling on her there's an arm under the wreckage that they are standing next to and that is Lexie. Arizona is out in the open. If he's doing that guaranteed she's dead.
Why? Why did they have to do that? I've been waiting for them to get back together forever and now this? Can't handle it.
Next week i'll go online after the show find out if I was right and then decide if I watch the show or not.

I have to admit (sadly, cause I love this character) that it will be Arizona. This will have some great consequences like Alex staying at SGH and taking over his mentor's position.
I think that killing off April would not change anything.
But something tells me that we can't look at it from the "who is where" perspective, as undoubtedly those who were not on the flight will come to their rescue... will Owen sacrifice his life to save Cristina? or will it be Mark, who will save Lexie?

I was saying, the impossible has been made possible on this show, which is also a slap in the face to us Slexie fans, what with the writers' lackadaisical attitude about Slexie; it shouldn't have been that hard to come up with a substantial story-line for them for three years, involving something other than babies. But anyway, Meredith and Cristina don't even look like they were in a plane crash, considering the majority of the time there's usually nothing of anybody left. George got hit by a bus and looked it. Mere and Cris just look bit mussed and the others a little bloody...nothing like George and his mere bus hit. How ironic and silly. But this is Gey's, so I should expect it.

Was anyone else devastated when Cristina told Meredith she (Mer) wasn't her (Cris) person? It was like a stab in the heart to me. I completely agree with Derek; Meredith needed to make decisions with her family in mind, not her friend. But even he didn't go as far as to diminish Cristina's friendship. I was surprised to see Cristina so cavalier about it after all they had been through LONG before the cheating Owen came around. Ok, enough, I know (but it bothered me....apparently).
I think April should be the one to die. I think she should commit suicide. All of the originals signed up for 2 years so we know they're safe. That would leave Lexie or Arizona and that's just too damn predictable. We would expect someone in the plane crash to bite the dust. We would not expect April to kill herself. If it's not April, it might be Arizona. Maybe Jessica Capshaw wants more time with her growing family :)

Christina is like the Iron Lady. She can't break! A plane crashes and she is standing strong. Unbelievable! Meredith too. It looks like Yang is going to help Mark rescue Lexie which I hope turns out to be a fruitful rescue. If Lexie dies I'm done. She's my favorite character though we unfortunately don't get to see much of her. Mark and Lexie forever!! The only character I can see leaving the show at this point is April Kepner. She dramatically failed her boards, she can't get a new job, and is "no longer the best candidate" at her current one. She regrettably lost her v-card to Jackson, thinks Jesus hates her, and is feeling pitied by her friends. She will probably leave. The question is, how will she go? I think Shonda has something juicy up her sleeve. I can't wait to find out what it is.

I hate to say it, but Lexie is definitely going to die. From all the spoiler/hints/rumors, as well as not really hearing anything from Chyler Leigh in interviews, and studying the promos...yes, she's the one. Mark looks like he's okay, but for all I know, he may kick the bucket too, from internal bleeding or something; I almost wish he would so I wouldn't have to seem him get together with somebody else. Shonda said it was going to be bittersweet and painful for them. I hate it. I feel like my time and patience has been wasted for three years and I've been slapped in the face. I rooted for this couple, they had the potential, promise, and chemistry despite a lack of a substantial story-line. I always had hope for them. Now it's going to pot. If Chyler wanted to leave, then I can't say much. But otherwise, it's just been a waste and a shame, for the fans, actors and the characters they portrayed.

I find an irony in using the 'my person' analogy about Owen. After all, the origins of that phrase for Cris and Mere, was about her first planned abortion.
I think Arizona makes sense, after the 'don't ever leave speech' - the twist of her being the one to leave. Plus the fact that she wasn't originally meant to be on the plane - adding a sense of what these type of shows thinks is 'irony'. Otherwise I think it's someone not on the plane to add an extra twist - Kepner committing suicide, that's my outside bet.
