hmm... I think Lexie will die, it would be the easiest departure, I mean Mark would definitely come over it and Meredith too...

Well... We have only 3 obtions now, right? Narrowing it down between the people on the plane and the one we know won´t die (cose Shoda said so)
Its eigther Mark, Lexie or Arizona. And people... I don´t know how about you, but all of the above will break my heart. Now I get that the whole staff cryied.

I think it's going to be Arizona. Just because it makes sense that Jessica Capshaw has young children, she may be leaving the show to spend more time with her family. Plus, she is a beloved character, and the audience reaction would definitely give Shonda Rhimes a good reason to worry. Just a theory, but the only one that makes sense to me right now.
Guess we'll find out next week!

I can't see it being Arizona. We spent most of this season with a widow in Teddy, I can't see them doing the same thing with Callie for next year. With Arizona on the plane and Callie not, there wouldn't be any tearjerker farewell scene. With Lexie trapped under the plane and Mark there however....

Callie should have NEVER promised Arizona that she will always be there for her...NEVER. It's like a death sentence for one of Calzona. It's like when characters go and say that they will do something tomorrow, and well they die before they can actually do it.
I hope April doesn't die. I like to watch Sarah Drew. She's an amazing actress. And all the April's scenes were sad or whatever... As you may noticed, I like Kepner..
Well. I think someone outside the plane crash will die... who knows!? thursday come already!!!!

I'll say this much. The moment I caught on they would be traveling I suspected how it would end.
The show had me up until that very last frame. that was overkill!
they should have just left it at the wreckage of the plane.
The implication would have been enough, one would almost think that they switched directors on 3/4 in.

I laughed so much at the end of this episode. Talk about trying too hard!
NEVER get in any vehicle with Meredith - that girl is accident prone! I thought it was cheesy. I thought it was contrived. I thought it was kind of silly really. Yes, I'll tune in next week for the finale, but it's a series I'm dipping in and out of more and more these days.

It was said that what happened between Mark and Lexie is bittersweet and Mark telling Lexie he loves her right before she dies is pretty bittersweet. I honestly can't even think about that. That would be such a waste of time!!! waiting all this time for them to get back together and she DIES!?! Gotta be kidding me. Don't think i could watch the show after that. way too heartbroken.
I agree, they won't find Derek till next season.

I am glad that Cristina is leaving maybe the others can finally have some screen time and not have an over acting actress on the show

I AM LOVING this episode and I am only 11 minutes into it!
I am practically giddy with how good the writing and acting is which is making me dreading the end of this episode, hence my short break from it, cause the last time I was so into an Grey's episode like this I got my legs kicked out from under me with George being the guy who got hit by a bus.

I read my previous post again and it should say "Grey's presents a healthy, happy..." rather than "Grey's represents". :-P
On a side note, if Lexie dies, Meredith really has no reason to stay in Seattle. Lexie was one of her reasons for staying. Unless Derek is dramatically injured (which it would stand to reason that he is from that preview), they can easily move. But a Derek unable to work is a Patrick Dempsey with some more flexibility in his schedule.
Jessica Capshaw having a baby. I seem to remember Meredith having a portion of their liver removed when Ellen was pregnant. They could always throw Arizona in a hospital bed recovering from her injuries while Jessica is pregnant. No need to kill her off!

I know that Ms. Rhimes reads all the blogs, and might even do that "they signed their contract" thing, and still throw us a curveball. At least that is what I am hoping. She had said that the elimination would "test the mettle of the show's watchers"....uhm, Callie or Derek? Believe it or not, I still am going outside the box, and say that the death in the plane crash is too obvious. I also have said to myself "it's only t.v."....LOL
I'm not buying that 'contract'stuff, I still think it's Derek. I don't want it to be, but I still think its him, and they are punking us.

It's not Mark. Read the other articles on this site. http://www.tvfanatic.com/2012/05/greys-anatomy-death-watch-whos-safe/
I thought it might be Teddy or Lexie going into the episode. Obviously after watching it, I have more information to go off of. I'm going with Lexie (which breaks my heart) over Arizona. Shonda said she was worried about fan reaction. She said it was a beloved character. Shonda is NOT stupid enough to kill off a character that would send a nice portion of her viewers packing. One of the things that is liked about Grey's is that it represents a healthy, happy, lesbian couple raising a family and making things work. Killing off half of that couple ... not necessarily the best move if she wants to keep her show going. That being said, it could easily be Arizona (but I agree with other comments that it's a very obvious choice).
It's also possible the entire plane crash is a red herring and it's someone back in Seattle. If there's one thing I've learned

OMG THIS WAS THE CRAZIEST EPISODE EVER!!
I honestly think that an epsiode hasn't been this mind blowing since the shooting. I was literally dryheaving at the end during the plane crash.
Anyway I predict that Kepner is going to kill herself because she is going to be so upset about not having any options. Besides why would they get rid of Arizona? She's amazing and yes what she went through is sad but killing someone because of the plane crash is way too obvios. I think that the person who dies has the least to do with the plane which is Kepner. And who ever is saying Adele I disagree Shonda said it was a major death and Adele wouldn't be that major of a death because she's practically no longer part of the show.

It would make no sense, if April or Mark/Lexie dies. Shonda just created some new storyline for them, plus this episode was just alovely tribute of Arizona
Otherwise, I think the writer of this article misunderstoods a lot of things. I think the Owen-Christina thing means that they are their toher's person. it's done

I think Arizona will die. Jessica Capshaw is having another baby (number 3) and probably quit to spend more time with her family.
It can't be any of the originals because they all just signed new contracts.
I don't think it will be baby Zola. Yes she does have Spina Bifida, but it hasn't been mentioned since Arizona repaired her shunt, and she hasn't had any medical ssues apart from the flu since then, so it wouldn't make sense to kill her.

There's no point to Grey's if the original bunch isn't around anymore. The fact that George and Izzie aren't there anymore sucks. But, Callie, Arizona etc cannot hold the main screen for too long. Grey's will no longer be interesting. At least not for me. The hardships of the long runners is what keeps this show going - not the newbies that come around - their stories are always parallel.

Having just watched this episode, signs point to Arizona to be the most likely to die, she asks Callie never to leave her, she wasn't supposed to be on the plane, but this would be "too" obivious a choice and with her dying would only mean that Karev might stay in honour of his mentor. It wouldnt really affect the others.
Lexie or Derek on the other hand, if one of them die that would affect Mer`s decision to leave and in turn that would affect Christina and Karev`s decision and would leave a storyline on how Mark will cope after.
If April dies, Hunt will blame himself and Christina may soften towards him and stay tobe by him, then Mer & Alex will stay but Jackson will leave. Teddy or Ben dying wouldn't affect the others decision not to leave. Or if Ben dies, they may stay to support Bailey...Take your guess... I think it will be 1)April, 2nd possibility Lexie, 3rd Ben and last Arizona because it is just to obvious and I don't want her to die, she brings difference to the show!!
