Last Resort on ABC: First Trailer, Photos!

Last Resort is coming to ABC.

The drama will air on Thursday nights at 8 and already has the TV world talking, considering its creator (Shawn Ryan) and its cast (led by Andre Braugher).

The drama centers on the submarine Colorado and the orders its crew is given on the premiere: fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan. When both the captain (Braugher) and the XO (Scott Speedman) refuse to do so, the submarine itself is fired on.

The crew is considered enemies of the U.S. and proceeds to create its own sovereign nation.

High concept? Yes. Intriguing? Definitely, especially with a cast that also includes Autumn Reeser, Dichen Lachman, Daniel Lissing and more. Click through photos from the upcoming premiere now:

i hope this becomes the best Military action show. i will definitely watch this show and hope for the best.the plot is good about how an American Navy showed respect for a certain mauvais country(Pakistan) for some good people living there by defying the orders from White House.

I just saw the promo and Andre Braugher, the only black lead on the show doesn't have "Husband" . "Soldier" or "Warrior" after his picture, he has 'Traitor" Wow that's not too bigoted now is it

    Another gone by Halloween show.
And B, what was wrong with JAG.

Network TV makes another clusterf**k of a show with another shitty portrayal of naval personnel/culture... like JAG... like Supercarrier... like Pensacola: Wings of Gold. So the "Crossing the Line" ceremony is celebrated by prancing around the control room to La Bamba? Who writes this stuff? The only thing that might be remotely interesting is Robert Patrick's role as the COB. But one character doesn't make a great show. A little prejudging here but this look like steaming pile of $&*#. Please leave the military/geopolitical dramas to Tom Clancy or Aaron Sorkin... at least they know the importance of verisimilitude.

this is just a shameless effort to desensitize people to the ideas of mass murder and attacking Pakistan

It looks good. I'll definitely give it a try. However, I wish ABC wouldn't air its best shows on Thursdays and Sundays. Those are the nights with the most competition.

    Rank: Recurring Character

I'm impressed .... but given its slot on Thursdays it has little chances to succeed. But it looks amazing,

I like the cast, so I'll give it a try, but I have a feeling it's going to tank.
