WWE Main Event: Coming to ION Television
WWE is adding another hour of programming to its schedule.
Just a few weeks after Monday Night Raw was extended to three hours, the company has signed a deal with ION Television to air WWE Main Event on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. The new one-hour series will feature WWE stars from Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, all taking part in matches and continuing story lines from both shows.

The Main Event means WWE will now be featured on a broadcast network for the first time since SmackDown.
“As a general entertainment network with a solid foundation, WWE Main Event is a great addition to our lineup that features something for everyone,” said Brandon Burgess, CEO, ION Media Networks.
