Game of Thrones: Season 3 Premiere Date, 13 New Actors Announced!
HBO's Game of Thrones revealed its Season 3 premiere date and at least 13 additional cast members at Comic-Con this afternoon. The acclaimed, epic drama will return March 31, 2013.
A long time to wait, but it should be worth it, especially since network announced that Diana Rigg is joining the Game of Thrones cast as Lady Oleanna Tyrell, a.k.a. the Queen of Thorns.
Rigg will be joined by these 13 additional new actors next spring:
- Clive Russell (Bryndon “The Blackfish” Tully)
- Kerry Ingram (Shireen Baratheon)
- Tara Fitzgerald (Selyse Baratheon)
- Paul Kaye (Thoros of Myr)
- Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed)
- Ellie Kendirck (Meera Reed)
- Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion)
- Nathalie Emannuel (Missandei)
- Tobias Menzies (Edmure Tully)
- Anton Lesser (Qyburn)
- Philip McGinley (Anguy)
- Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane)
- Mackenzie Crook (Orell)
Filming for Game of Thrones Season 3 will take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Croatia and Iceland later this year. Here's a video introducing some of the new cast members as well:

They have went away from the books pretty far. The dragons never got kidnapped in the books and they have killed people off that are still alive in the last book so I hope for the sake of the starks they go away from the books I hated the last 2 books if your a fan of the starks you will.

Starks ladies are stupid, look at the elder lady stark giving up Jamie thinking her daughters are well by just believing little fingers lies. Look at the lady stark in King's landing swearing a loyalty oarth to bastard Jeff, my ass. I like the betrayals and the backstabings though.
