HBO's Game of Thrones revealed its Season 3 premiere date and at least 13 additional cast members at Comic-Con this afternoon. The acclaimed, epic drama will return March 31, 2013.

A long time to wait, but it should be worth it, especially since network announced that Diana Rigg is joining the Game of Thrones cast as Lady Oleanna Tyrell, a.k.a. the Queen of Thorns.

Rigg will be joined by these 13 additional new actors next spring:

However, by Season 2 episode 3-5, I found the story extremely gripping and hard to look away from even in spite of the scenes I didn't enjoy. So far, I'm rooting for the Freedom of the north, with glory returned to Winterfell, and Khaleesi taking the iron throne from Joffrey with her babies and firey wrath. As queen she would be not only feared, but loved and respected. Can't wait for Season 3!

My brother introduced me to this series a few months ago, and after the first few episodes I found myself very intrigued by the story, the acting, and how well set in the time period it all seems to be. The costuming is phenomenal, the villains are the sort you love to hate and wish to see dead, whilst the good go through the necessary trials and face situations realistic for the world they have created. I loved watching the series so far and seeing all the pieces of the plot fit together in ways that were difficult to predict at times, yet easy to follow at others. It made for a great balance. One thing which puts me off about this show however, is the great amount of nudity. I appreciate how it fits into the story at times and is not so inaccurate seeming, but it was hard for me to get over while watching, simply due to personal taste, and it took me a great while to watch the first 3/4 of the 2 seasons because of it. Game of thrones is the greatest show ever...period. the storytelling is superb. The plots gripping. The action is hot and the women hotter. The sets, costumes, and characters are amazingly realistic. And the casting and acting are outstanding. No slacking whatsoever in the making of this show. The only way it could be beter is if it ran new episodes every day.
