Once Upon a Time Casts a Pair of Princesses
Jamie Chung has been cast in a key role on Once Upon a Time Season 2.
The actress (The Hangover 2, Sucker Punch) will appear on multiple episodes this fall, Entertainment Weekly reports, coming on board the ABC hit as Mulan, the warrior princess about whom Disney made an animated movie in 1998.

It's unclear at the moment how this character will slide into the storylines on Once Upon a Time, but expect major scoop on her and other newcomers during the show's Comic-Con panel next week.
TV Fanatic will be on hand for it and report back every last quote, scoop and spoiler!
UPDATE: According to TV Line, Sarah Bolger (The Tudors) has been cast as Princess Aurora, a character whose background sounds an awful lot like Sleeping Beauty.

why mulan is in the show????? SHE IS NOT FROM A FAIRYTALE! If she's in the show.. I really hope that they put Pocahontas too! After all, she is real and she is part of USA history.

regarding the update: of course princess aurora's background sounds a lot like sleeping beauty, wasn't sleeping beauty's name Aurora, and she was a princess.

:( I like Jamie Chung enough, but she's not Chinese. I wish they'd cast an actual Chinese actress to play Mulan.

J, I don't know why you say that. I think the writers of OUAT can add just about any fairy tale character and make it work. Look how many we were introduced to in season one. I want it to go to like 9 seasons!!! So there will probably be lots and lots of fairy tale characters to make the show go numerous seasons.

I love Mulan, favorite movie. Don't think its fits in the OuaT mythology, should stick to the more traditional folk and fairy tales, more Grimms with the whole 'enchanted forest' thing. I just don't think EVERY disney movie can be encorporated into it, no matter how wonderful they are. They going to have Hunchback too?

i don't think they will do it. in the cartoon Tiana lives in the real world not a fairy tale kingdom so there is no world shift for her and also she isn't classic yet,
Except that by OUAT multiple-worlds logic, you could have an infinity of "real worlds" and infinite versions of characters

Well, Mulan was also set in the real world in China so I do think they can do it.

i don't think they will do it. in the cartoon Tiana lives in the real world not a fairy tale kingdom so there is no world shift for her and also she isn't classic yet, i think they are going for classics only, sth that is also based on books. but i could be wrong.
