Last Resort

Shawn Ryan has cast a fan favorite from The Shield on his new ABC series.

Jay Karnes - beloved for his role as Detective Holland Wagenbach and who has since recurred on such hits on Sons of Anarchy and Burn Notice - will appear on at least four episodes of Last Resort as Secretary of Defense William Curry, a shady individual who may have played in sinking the USS Colorado, the submarine at the center of the series.

Last Resort - probably my favorite new show of the fall - premieres on September 27.
