Chandra Wilson Teases Bailey Wedding, Mark Send-Off

at . Comments

Grey's Anatomy star Chandra Wilson will be back behind the camera this season, directing the season's sixth episode. Not that Grey's Anatomy Season 9 will lack for Wilson on screen.

As Miranda prepares to exchange vows with Ben, Wilson notes that "when Callie got married, Bailey told her, 'I've already done the wedding dress and the church and it didn't work out.'"

"I have a feeling [her wedding] won't be all that traditional."

As for Eric Dane's departure from the series, Wilson says:

"They've come up with a really creative send-off for Mark, especially for the die-hard Grey's fans. Eric gets the chance to do some really beautiful stuff in the first two episodes."

We wouldn't miss it. How do you think Mark will exit the show, and what lies ahead for Bailey in the coming season? Share your thoughts on all things Grey's Anatomy below.

I bet you he will donate some body organ to Arizona, as he is already dying anyway and he wants his child to at least have his mothers...

Perhaps mark will be written out for a while, but not being rescued for some time after the plane crash would make it more likely Mark will die?

Im sure there is going to be a big shake up yet, in order to keep the show flowing they have to. I say, bring back Izzy! As an accomplished, advanced surgeon. She doesnt get back with Alex but it will sure be a shake up and a bringing back of the old days. I still love this show, but definitely miss the chemistry of the first couple of seasons. Oh George, how we miss you.

Mark will decide to go to a third world country and do plastc surgery on kids. Unless they kill him off because they boxed him in with being such a devoted father and Callie's BFF. But I'm hoping he leaves to go with doctor's without borders or Smile train or something similar.

Or maybe he'll die after weeks of treatment... who knows...

If Mark is in the first episode thats set in the future.. im not so sure he will die.. he could but it seems like he is just going to move and leave,..

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?! Something BEAUTIFUL????? Something beautiful would've been: Mark telling Lexie he loves her and have the two leave Seattle for whatever positive reason, like for example a job offer or anything like that and let this people keep on living through comments of the other doctors, e.g. Callie saying "I got a postcard from Mark and Lexie. They're very happy in their new home and saying hi to everyone." And someday she could've let them get married (come on that would just mean to have Chyler and Eric come back for one episode) and have kids or whatever to let them be happy. That's all we fans of this couple would've wanted after they had to go through much and we had to suffer with them. You don't have to kill to get rid off actors for God's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Sirid : I think the reason is probably baby Sofia, hard to justify how Mark could have left her behind, unless Arizona and Callie were leaving too... but it's confirmed Callie stays for season 9.

What I don't understand is: If Mark is leaving as well, why couldn't Shonda give them a happy ending where they left together or something, instead of this horrible solution?

Some beautiful stuff ey...
Can't wait any longer.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

[narrating] "At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out, they fence you in. Life is messy, that's how we're made. So you can waste your life drawing lines or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines that are way too dangerous to cross. Here's what I know. If you're willing to throw caution to the wind and take a chance, the view from the other side... is spectacular."

Richard: Chin up. Put your shoulders back, walk proud, strut a little. Don't lick your wounds: celebrate them. The scars you bear are the signs of a competitor. You're in a lion fight, Stevens. Just because you didn't win doesn't mean you don't know how to roar.
