Shiri Appleby has signed on to make life miserable for Hannah on season two of Girls. Sort of.

The former Life UnExpected star will recur on this HBO comedy as a new love interest for Hannah's ex, Adam, according to Deadline. Her character is described as "charming" and as someone who adores Adam despite - how shall we put this? - his unusual sexual proclivities.

Of course, Lena Dunham's confused main character is expected to see some action on Season 2 herself.

Patrick Wilson will come on board as a doctor who lives next door to Hannah, while Community's Donald Glover has been spotted shooting scenes for at least one upcoming episode.
