Community Season Premiere to Pay Tribute to The Hunger Games

by at . Comments

Take a collective deep breath, Community fans.

Dan Harmon might be gone as showrunner, but the first photo from the Community Season 4 premiere - titled "History 101" and airing on Friday, October 19 - makes it clear: this sitcom isn't about to go mainstream.

As revealed in the upcoming Entertainment Weekly, whose Fall TV Preview hits newsstands tomorrow, the opening episode will pay tribute to The Hunger Games, as Dean Pelton stages a competition to determine enrollment in a class called "The History of Ice Creams."

No, really. See for yourself:

I saw Community's spring premiere, and it was OK. I will check this out because The Hunger Games is both my favorite movie and my favorite book series. Also, it sounds hilarious.

Annie: When you found out I was Jewish, you invited me to a 'pool party' that turned out to be a Baptism.
Shirley: Well excuse me for trying to sneak you into Heaven.

It's called a Complisult. Part compliment, part insult. He invented them. I coined the term. See what I just did there? That was an explainabrag.
