NCIS: Los Angeles creator and executive producer Shane Brennan recently predicted that the second episode of the new season, airing Tuesday, October 2, “will instantly go on to everyone’s favorite list!”

The episode will reveal what the gang did during their time off.

In any case, "Recruit" will also feature a drone strike on a bomb-making compound in Afghanistan that reveals the body of a recently retired Marine, whose return to that country will be investigated by the team.

NCIS: LA Season 4 begins next Tuesday night, right after NCIS. In that episode, "Endgame," we pick up in the aftermath of Callen's shocking shooting of the Chameleon, with G. suspended and Hetty retired.
