I thought this was a great episode. We finally see some insight into a lot of the characters, and they allowed the relationship between Cat and Vincent to finally develop a bit more, and the "cop drama" took a bit of a backseat this week. It was so sad that Cat looked so hurt when Vincent didn't show up to dinner. Hopefully next week when Vincent "comes clean" about his feelings for Cat, we'll see a bit more of their relationship development, but this series appears to be using the "one step forward, half step back" approach to keep us all hanging. I hope they keep it up!
The love triangle thingy with Evan is actually annoying - his personality doesn't seem to suit Cat, so hopefully they let him bag someone else and ramp down that storyline at bit. It can still be there in the background, but its too much for right now.
The song is by St Leonards called Best Part of Me : http://www.stleonardsmusic.com/ You can download it from http://www.facebook.com/stleonards?fref=ts
This was the first "good" episode of the series.
The pilot was OK--certainly the critics exaggerated how bad it was.
The other episodes were all sub-par, but finally we get a good one. The show does have potential, but I worry it may be too late to bring in the fans.
I really like Kristin Kreuk in the lead. I also think the actress who plays Tess is very underrated.
Great episode. Was sad when Vincent didn't make it hope they explain more next episode. Can't wait till next episode.
I had mixed feelings about this episode i loved most parts of it but felt like some important scenes where not in it. Like when cat found the present from vincent and what was in it?? i am i the only one who wants to know. I love the photo both scenes! However Cat and Vincent can you please just kiss already this is KILLING ME!!!! The song that plays at the end of the ep, the one your looking for is called Best Part Of Me By St Leonards. I can only find it on youtube at the moment. If your ever looking for music in a TV show you should check out tuefind.com
I definitely ship Cat and Vincent :)
I'm not feeling Evan for Cat at all. I can't really put my finger on it, but something about him just doesn't blend well for me.
Lol. I thought that the fiancee didn't kill her but I was not certain what game was afoot. But I did spot that the man posing as a US Marshall was in fact trying to kill Amy. And it was too early in the episode for the case to be done, so there was something up.
It is a little weird to Ship Cat and Vincent but I think it's meant to feel that way to add to the gulf separating them. I have to say, good for Evan.
I hope Vincent and JT will draw strength from eachother and pursue their interests.
I love Heather too and I think she adds a great element to the cast that was sorely lacking.
My initial reaction to half the cast (Tess, J.T., Joe) has been mixed the negative, but this episode allowed their characters to stand out more. Most of it had to do with the party, though it was like 5 minutes due to the fast pacing of moving it along, it was still good to see their characters off of work and having fun. In regards to J.T., it was good to see something different (romantic wise) and not his paranoid-self.
Oddly enough, I liked Tess and Cat's chemistry this episode. Why it was completely different, I'm unsure, but I sensed some improvement for the two.
Furthermore, I must say that I really love Heather. She's so bubbly and quirky and adds a different feel to the show. I wish they'd promote her to regular status ASAP!
The romantic plot between Cat and Vincent seemed to move straight up, much to my surprise. I know that Evan will be a key element that will eventually forge a love-triangle, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
