Sherlock Season 3: Production Delayed, Premiere Date Unknown

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Sherlock Season 3 will eventually air in both Great Britain and the United States.

It's just unclear when.

Entertainment Weekly confirms that production on this terrific drama has been pushed back from January to March in order to accommodate the schedules of stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek 2) and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit).

BBC insiders hope the series will still return in late 2013, which means PBS will not air new episodes until early 2014.

The first cycle of Sherlock premiered overseas in July 2010. Sherlock Season 2 then hit the air last January, with PBS premiering the trio of 90-minute episodes in May.

In other British import news: Downton Abbey Season 4 has been green lighted by ITV.

I cannot wait for this show to come back. Unfortunately I only seem to catch it on netflix as I don't know when it actually airs. I wish they made more than 3 episodes a season, especially when there is such a hiatus between seasons.

It was great
