Scott Gimple to Take Over as Walking Dead Showrunner
Glen Mazzara is out. And Scott Gimple is about to be in.
Following the much-publicized departure of Mazzara as showrunner on The Walking Dead, sources confirm that Gimple will soon be hired to take his place. The producer's resume includes stints on FlashForward and Chase, while he joined this AMC smash during The Walking Dead Season 2 and has penned five episodes overall.
Gimple will officially take over after the conclusion of The Walking Dead Season 3, which resumes on Sunday, February 10.
He will become the program's third boss, following Frank Darabont, who left due to creative differences, and Mazzara.
