Hart of Dixie Review: Little Miss Popular

at . Comments

Well, I'm going to have "Jolene" stuck in my head all night now, but it was worth it to see George serenade Tansy's dog. Is that man not that sweetest!? And hello shirtless scene!

Wade takes a lot of credit for Bluebell's most famous washboard abs, but "Take Me Home, Country Roads" let us all acknowledge what George Tucker has on underneath that button down. Amen.

Will Zoe Make Room?

Despite babysitting and then losing Tansy's dog on this week's Hart of Dixie, George and Tansy now seem to be stronger than ever. I wish I could say the same for Zoe and Wade, but those two hit a new bump in the road what seems like every Tuesday. Let's hope they can keep patching things up because I felt so bad for Lavon sitting on the couch with those donuts eating his feelings; we don't need to see all three of them heartbroken.

Obviously, what Zoe said about Wade's job slipped out and wasn't meant to upset him but sometimes she needs to take her criticism down a peg. In the end it worked out because Wade was reminded of how happy he was when he was working on opening his own bar. But what if next time Zoe makes a criticism it isn't something constructive? I get that she was on a high after the way everyone was treating her, but it's important to remember that Wade always spoke to her even when the rest of the town kept up an icy demeanor.

I'm gettin' a little tired of having to appreciate you by myself, if you catch my drift. | permalink

I think we all catch your drift, Wade. You're one of the horniest people east of the Mississippi. And the pet cemetery? Really? That feels kinda dirty and not in a good way, but, hey, whatever floats your boat. Did anyone else catch a little flirtation between Zoe and Jonah Breeland? He was quite cute, but Zoe and a Breeland? I just can't see it.

Speaking of the Breeland, there already is a Lemon 2.0 and her name is Magnolia. Quit it with the nice act, Lemon, we all know what you're made of. I know she was genuinely hurt about Annabeth and that does suck. It seems like there should always be clear cut rules about dating someone your best friend had feelings for - but Annabeth developed feelings for Lavon before she knew about him and Lemon.

According to girl code and any sense of friend morality, Lemon has the right to be upset. BUT Lemon should've made it clear to Lavon she still had feelings for him. Instead she hid it when he was pissed at her and moved on to Walt.

Lavon isn't a mean guy and I don't think he would've pursued Annabeth had he have known her best friend was still in love with him. He did, after all, have feelings for Lemon for a long time. I would say it must get tricky in a small city like Bluebell but the truth is this kinda thing goes on all the time, no matter the population size. People fall for who they fall for. I would be lying if I said I didn't have sympathy for Annabeth as well. It's an all around crappy situation. The one thing I will say is that Annabeth should've spoken to Lemon before she slept with Lavon.

Well, hey, at least one Breeland is happy romantically! Shelby is a pretty good dancer and she truly is into Brick. I'm glad Brick introduced her at the party. Somebody's love life has to go right and Brick is also dealing with his patients leaving him for Zoe.

Do you blame Zoe for indulging in her newfound popularity? Do you think Zoe and Wade will make it? What's your take on Lemon and Annabeth's fight? Hit the comments and enjoy humming "Jolene" all day long!

Love wade and zoe!!

Loved this episode! Like I do all the others. Zoe and Wade are so awesome together! I'm missing Hart of Dixie this week so much, can't wait for next week!

God damn it my working week needs a bit of hart of dixie.... missing it terribly this week. :(

I honestly don't like Zoe and Wade together. Yes Wade is cute, but honestly I preferred George and Zoe so much more. I even liked the Chemistry with Jonah more than I can stand the Zoe, Wade relationship. Opposites don't always work best. Besides sex the Wade and Zoe thing is boring, that's literally all they have.

(cont. from comment below)...some desire to be a better person. I really like George/Tansy and I hope they do stay together. Tansy deserves a nice guy like George. On the flip side, Wade has been good for Zoe because she really needs to learn to get out of her comfort zone and open her mind to new possibilities. Zoe has helped Wade mature as a character and I hope she will allow him to do the same for her. Yes, he has faults but this season we have seen Wade put in a lot of effort to make this relationship work. Hopefully, the writers won't have Zoe ruin things or end up falling for Jonah Breeland.

This episode was so-so. I think the initial relationship setup with Zoe/George and Lemon/Lavon has gotten old. I was happy to see in the last episode that Zoe and George had moved on and were able to remain friends and be mature about what was just a crush that had never grown into anything more. The same thing needs to happen with Lemon/Lavon. There needs to be some sort of resolution because I don't see Lemon/Lavon panning out anymore. There was some hope IF Lemon had admitted her feelings to Lavon before or after his relationship with Ruby. I think that ship has sailed and at least in this episode Lavon admitted to not being in love with Lemon anymore. After what Lemon has done to him and breaking up practically ever romantic relationship he has been in since the show has started, I don't see the reason why Lavon should forgive her or want to be with her anymore. It's so immature and it's unfortunate that Lemon really hasn't grown that much since Season 1 even though she has shown some desire to be a better person.

Leigh Raines...ditto about Wade and the cabin

I am loving this season. I personally think Wade and Zoe WILL last. They are a great fit. I also like George and Tansy. I never found Scott Porter sexy, until last night..hello shirtless George. I also like the idea of Annabeth and Lavon.

I actually really liked this episode, only because of the cute moments between zoe and wade towards the end. Zoe should really treat Wade better tho; he seems to have (somewhat spontaneously) become a really romantic guy. Does anyone feel like Tancy seems to be a lot less into George than he is into her? It feels like she's always upset with him, or looking for reasons to break up with him (2x12), but he's always willing to do anything for her. Also Lemon is just awful, and has barely any redeeming qualities. AB is lovely and deserves happiness with Lavon, but until she grows a backbone, she won't have it. Also Shelby's dance number was ridiculous but enjoyable nonetheless.

I did not like the last episode - I agree that the writers should just let Wade & Zoe be happy and romantic and funny for a while and stop creating conflict all the time. Wade has grown as a character so much and Zoe reverted to acting like a 12 yr. old. George shirtless is no match for Wade, who is sexy +...
The other characters were suddenly out of where things had been going for no reason, with the exception of Shelby, who was terrific and made me really like her even more. The Breeland cousin reminds me too much physically of Lemon's boyfriend but with none of he appealing personality.
Let Zoe and Wade have a good time and the fans will too

Annabeth we're not animals, we can control who we do and do not sleep with.

I'm getting a little tired of having to appreciate you by myself, if you catch my drift.
