Turns out, many people were interested in Da Vinci's Demons.
The premiere of this Starz drama drew a record total of 2.14 million viewers Friday night across multiple airings, the largest debut ever for an original series on that network. It narrowly beat out the opener for Camelot, which brought in 2.09 million.
The David S. Goyer-produced series earned just over one million households for its initial airing at 10 p.m. and moves to its regular time slot of 9 p.m. this Friday.
Elsewhere on Starz, the Spartacus: War of the Damned finale turned in an impressive 1.43 million viewers for the 9 p.m. showing and 2.7 million for all combined weekend airings.
