According to The Huffington Post, Kole will portray David Seigel, the agent who will serve as Neal's new CIA handler with Peter starting the season off behind bars after taking the fall last year for shooting a senator.

The casting breakdown describes Seigel as especially "ambitious."

White Collar Season 5 kicks off this fall, with Richard Thomas, Zachary Booth and Kara Hayward also set to guest star.

Worst idea from WC writers. The best part about the show was the chemistry between Neal and Peter. Having a 'bad guy' as Neal's handler will kill the show, as will having a sleazy head of WC division (woman from end of last season). The friendship and trust between Peter and Neal was the one 'positive' piece of glue that made the characters stick together (and made the viewers root for them) in a world of 'bad guys'. For a show to work, the viewer has to continue to have at least two 'good guys' to feel empathy for; having an "ambitious" new FBI handler and a sleazy head of WC division will really turn off viewers, especially since all WC fans are waiting to see how Neal will "save" Peter.

Neal's FBI Handler, not CIA Handler.
