Paul Giamatti has nabbed a role on Downton Abbey Season 4.
The Oscar nominee - who earned an Emmy and Golden Globe for his portrayal of John Adams on HBO - will appear on the British drama as Harold Levinson, the free-spirited brother of Cora.
According to executive producer Gareth Neame (via TV Line), Mary and Edith's uncle will stop by the season 4 finale and "upset" the family's "apple cart" in some unexplained way.
Giamatti is best known for big screen roles that include Sideways and Cinderella Man. He is currently filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (in which he plays the villainous Rhino) and made a memorable guest-starring appearance in 2010 on 30 Rock.
Other Downton Abbey Season 4 cast members will include Dame Harriet Walters (as an old acquaintance of Maggie Smith’s Dowager), Nigle Harman (as a valet named Green), and Tom Cullen (as a new love interest for Mary).
Gary Carr will also come on board as the first recurring African-American on the series, which returns to PBS on January 5.
