Josh Gad is going from Broadway to FX.

The beloved Book of Mormon star has signed on to co-headline The Comedians with Billy Crystal, starring on the upcoming sitcom as a young comic on the rise who resents his pairing with Crystal's aging star on a late-night sketch show.

Gad also will also serve as a producer on the program, which comes from writers/executive producers Crystal, Larry Charles, Matt Nix and Ben Wexler.
