Anal rape. Torture porn. A shootout. A drowning. A sex scene.

Sons of Anarchy Season 6 got off to the show's typically wild start last night, with one major exception: a school shooting.

Indeed, the event that concluded "Straw" has the Internet buzzing and creator Kurt Sutter explaining. In multiple interviews, he's said the goal is not to take a political stance as much as to depict how SAMCRO's gun-running actions have serious consequences. Look for the tragedy to serve as a catalyst for Jax to get the club out of this business, while also giving Lee Toric new ammunition for bringing the group down.

In a new promo that takes a look ahead, we get our first glimpse at Jax's reaction to the news; CCH Pounder's attorney; and we see a fateful meeting between Jax and Clay in jail.
