Fox aired two sitcom premieres last night - one critically beloved, the other critically lambasted - along with two sitcom returns.
So, how did Dads, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl and The Mindy Project fare?
- Despite (or perhaps due to) some of the worst reviews in the history of television, Dads opened to a 2.1 in the young adult demographic, a 40 percent surge over Raising Hope in that same time slot a year ago.
- Brooklyn Nine-Nine also premiered strong, pulling a 2.5, which represented a 19 percent increase from last September's Ben and Kate's pilot.
- New Girl Season 3 saw a 38 percent boost from its May finale and scored a 2.9.
- The Mindy Project Season 2 hit a 1.9, good for a 46 percent gain from its finale.
