Will Chase to Romance Rayna on Nashville

Will Chase has booked a ticket to Nashville.
The Broadway veteran, who struck up a romance with Debra Messing's Julia on Smash, will portray a country music star who gets mighty close to Connie Britton's Rayna on Nashville season 2.
Based on past casting scoops, his character may need to compete with that of Oliver Hudson, a record executive who will also have his sights set on Ms. James.
Chase has also appeared on episodes of The Good Wife, Necessary Roughness and White Collar and there's no word yet on how long he'll stick around this ABC hit.
Nashville Season 2 kicks off on Wednesday, September 25.
