CBS Cancels We Are Men, Moves 2 Broke Girls

at . Comments

After a pair of underwhelming episodes, CBS has pulled the plug on We Are Men.

The sitcom - which starred Chris Smith, Jerry O'Connell, Kal Penn and Tony Shalhoub as singles living in the same apartment complex - debuted to 6.4 million viewers and then fell to 5.4 million.

In its place, the network will shift 2 Broke Girls to the 8:30/7:30c timeslot and follow it with reruns of The Big Bang Theory until Mike & Molly returns on November 4.

We Are Men is the second new network series to meet an unhappy fate this fall. ABC yanked Lucky 7 off the air after two disappointing episodes - and Hostages may be next. This CBS drama slid to 5.2 million viewers on Monday and only garnered a 1.2 rating.

@Jane Two broke girls a good show. But its defiantly an Adult comedy I think it will do well in its third season.

Really hope they cancel 'Mim' too because clean comedy seems so forced in here. CBS Mondays are turning into a wretched head and I don't know how longer 2 Broke Girls can keep up coming into it's 3rd season

I just DVR everything anyway,so if it's inappropriate I just watch when the kids are asleep.

Sorry Vicki but what teenagers do you know go to bed at 7:00 p.m. These shows are on from 7:00-10:00 p.m. 7:00 - 9:00 use to be the family hours and 9:00 was more adult shows. Now there is no family hour. These shows are just one so called "funny" vulgar joke after another. By the way my teenagers watch The Voice, Sleepy Hollow and The Blacklist. Sleepy Hollow and The Blacklist are mature shows that are not vulgar. What do you know it can be done! It is called having good writers.

Sorry, Grimmfan#10, your teenager should probably be in bed at that time instead of up watching TV.

That show sucked.

CBS needs to stop with the ranchy comedies. You can't sit down with a family and watch these shows. I would not want my teenager watching some of this mess.
