Bill Cosby Signs Sitcom Deal with NBC

by at . Comments

Resurrecting a former sitcom star didn't exactly work for NBC this year when it came to Michael J. Fox.

But if at first you don't succeed...

NBC has announced a deal with long-time comedian/actor Bill Cosby, one that will bring the icon back to the network with which he worked so successfully throughout the 1980s.

Cosby Show Family

Cosby will team up once again with producer Tom Werner on a half-hour, family-based comedy. Look for him to serve as the patriarch of a multi-generational family, according to Deadline sources.

Hmmm... that concept does have a familiar ring to it.

What do you think of this idea? Another NBC loser? Or does it have potential?

Will you watch a new Bill Cosby sitcom?
