Donal Logue is entering the seedy world of Gotham.

The veteran actor (Terriers, Sons of Anarchy, Copper) has joined the cast of this intriguing Fox drama as Detective Harvey Bullock, the rough partner/mentor of Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon.

A press release describes Bullock as somone who "plays loose with police procedure, but gets results … and he does it with old-school, forceful panache."

Fox has given a series order to Gotham, with Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) having penned the pilot script.

Series regulars cast to date include:

1. Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon
2. Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen
3. Erin Richards as Barbara Kean
4. Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth
5. Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin).
