Typically a rather by-the-book show, White Collar went out on a limb this season with one attempted - and often successful - shocker after another.

From the death of Neal's would-be new handler at the outset of the season to his new-love gone femme fatale, it was sometimes hard to know what to think.

With another season at a close, there's only one thing left to do: Grade it!

Favorite Episode: White Collar Season 5 Episode 6 ("Ice Breaker") was great, if only for the fact it took our characters into a realm you didn't think the White Collar division would ever cross paths with: figure skating.

It also didn't huty that we got to see both Neal and Peter pretend to be skating coaches, or that Mr. and Mrs. Suit got a couples skate in there near the end! They are too cute!

Best Mozzi-ism: "Don't let anyone ever tell you will never use math!" in White Collar Season 5 Episode 12. Probably the world's oldest excuse to defend numbers, somehow it seems appropriate for a loveable odd ball like Mozzie to defend an odd ball like math!

Biggest Surprise: Neal's kidnap in White Collar Season 5 Episode 13 takes the cake out off all the decidedly unexpected things to go down this season! Just when you think everything has been wrapped neatly and tied with a bow until next time, someone rips the package to shreds! It was definitely a way to get fans thinking about all the places next season could go!

Surprise That Wasn't: Clearly the reveal in White Collar Season 5 Episode 10 that quiet little bookworm Rebecca wasn't all she seemed to be was probably the worst played surprise White Collar has ever presented, if only because a majority of the audience had definitive suspicions about her long before their worst fears were confirmed. It definitely soften what was clearly meant to be a dramatic blow, making it fall rather flat.

Hopes for Season 6: First, that USA Network announces White Collar will return for a sixth season! Then that they try and wrap up Neal's "identity crisis" plot line. The window has come and gone for him to decide to walk the straight and narrow. Let's follow through on the Burke's move to DC, you don't break up the happily married couple. Oh, and bring Sara Ellis back, too!

Overall Grade: B.
