The Originals May Sweeps Poster: Protect the Heir

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Hours before The Originals Season 1 Episode 20 bids farewell to Father Kieran, The CW has unveiled a new poster in honor of May Sweeps.

The promotional art features only Klaus and Hayley and focuses on the impending child that producer Michael Narducci told us will be born on the upcoming finale.

The tagline simply reads: Protect the Unborn Heir.

Hayley's pregnancy, of course, is back at the forefront of this drama, with Genevieve having been told by Monique that she can avoid being sacrificed as long as she kills this child.

We'll find out the fate of the baby on the May 13 season-ender.

Until then, sit back, watch The Originals online if you need a refresher and visit TV Fanatic tonight for a detailed review of "A Closer Walk with Thee."

The Originals Quotes

They say the passage of time will heal all wounds, but the greater the loss, the deeper the cut and the more difficult the process to become whole again. The pain may fade, but scars serve as a reminder of our suffering and make the bearer all the more resolved never to be wounded again. So as time moves along we get lost in distractions, act out in frustration, react with aggression, give in to anger, and all the while we plot and plan as we wait to grow stronger, and before we know it, the time passes. We are healed. Ready to begin anew.

Klaus

Rebekah: I know you hate me, but what's done is done.
Klaus: What's done is never done. It remains within us, the story we tell ourselves so we know who we are. A vicious father, a bastard son, and the sister who betrayed him. Perhaps it's time for a new story.
