Katherine Heigl is officially ditching her scrubs for... whatever CIA agents wear on a regular basis.
NBC has placed a series order for State of Affairs, a drama that will center on Heigl as an analyst who counsels the President on pressing world matters while trying to balance this responsibility with a complex personal life.
Think Scandal, but likely a tad less insane.
Adam Kaufman (Without a Trace), Sheila Vand (Cult), Cliff Chamberlain (The Mob Doctor), Tommy Savas (Hollywood Heights) and Leslie Odom, Jr. (Smash) are also on board for State of Affairs, which will air this fall on NBC.
