Adelaide and Mega Follows killed it this season, Nina was pretty great as well.

Where's Emily Bett Rickards? She's fantastic in Arrow, much better than Katie, who is also good actress. I voted for Claire Holt but Nina Dobrev is one of the best actresses of all networks combined. AnnaSophia is also amazing. Tough choice.

Definitely Adelaide Kane! Nina Dobrev a year ago and earlier on definitely, but Adelaide Kane nailed it this year!

NINA DOBREV is best actress ever ,she plays 3 characters and made you feel that each character it's done by a different actress ,especially at Katherine role ,I totally forget the resemblance between Katherine and Elena even when they're in the same scene .

Nina Dobrev. Even if the storyline on TVD has gone downhill, she never - ever lacks in the acting department. Adelaide Kane and Claire Holt are both great as well. I've seen Rachel Bilson in a few shows and I have to say she's terrible.

Again, why so many nominees? I voted Clair Holt, but Adelaid Kane and Nina Dobrev also gave very strong performances. Katie Cassidy is also really good as an actress, but Arrow didn't use her very well until the last 3 episodes. I also have to question if it's proper to stick Katie Cassidy in this category; her screen time was very limited during season 2. Also, Phoebe Tomkin didn't really become a "lead" until after Rebecca left, but I suppose that's sufficient to get her in.

If we are to judge the acting skills of these female leads, I'd say Katie Cassidy and Adelaide Kane hands down. Katie did good playing a dense character - so many layers to peel off before you start understanding her and her changes - and Adelaide was amazing portraying the different facets of a young ambitious yet kind queen in her particularly delicate situation.
