Reign tells the story of Mary Stuart. This is the young woman the world would eventually come to know as Mary, Queen of Scots. As a young girl, Mary was promised to the future king of France, Francis, son of King Henry and Queen Catherine de Medici. At young teens, the two come together again when Mary is sent the castle to live and become reacquainted with Francis so they may marry. Nothing is ever as it seems in this soap-tinged world of historical inaccuracy and political intrigue. Something goes horribly awry and it appears that Mary marrying Francis would no longer work for her countries. To make up for it, Sebastian, Francis' half (bastard) brother is named the new heir and he and Mary are set to wed with his course set for the crown. Well, Reign is not that historically inaccurate, so eventually true love and history prevail and Mary and Francis are reunited. King Henry, meanwhile, is a sexy, sexual man who has lost interest in his incredible wife (that, alone, makes him crazy) and he picks on one of Mary's ladies to satiate his sexual needs. But what happens when sexy King Henry turns into crazy King Henry? Just keep watching to find out.
