Yvette Nicole Brown Couples Up for CBS; Is She Leaving Community?

Yvette Nicole Brown is headed to CBS.

The actress, beloved for years her role as Shirley on Community, has joined the cast of The Odd Couple.

According to network sources, Brown will portray Dani, the assistant to Matthew Perry’s Oscar. She takes over for Sarah Baker, who was let go shortly after the sitcom was ordered to series.

The Odd Couple will premiere in early 2015.

What will this mean for Community Season 6, which is coming at some point to Yahoo Screen? We don't know at the moment.

But we're scared.

UPDATE: The role has gone from "regular" to "recurring," helping us believe that Shirley won't be leaving Greendale Community College any time soon.
