NCIS: New Orleans is set to go back to the future.

The new CBS drama will welcome Dean Stockwell for an episode of November Sweeps, as executive producer Gary Glasberg excitedly announced yesterday that the actor will team up with his former Quantum Leap buddy Scott Bakula next month.

"We found an opportunity for the tremendously talented Dean Stockwell to reunite on-screen with Scott Bakula," Glasberg tells EW. "We are thrilled to have him join us for some Thanksgiving fun and intrigue in NOLA."

Stockwell will guest star as Tom Hamilton, a retired New Orleans police officer who will be confronted by investigators regarding a murder 40 years ago.

The father of Steven Weber’s councilman, he’ll arrogantly push back against the cops via his knowledge and experience.

Stockwell and Bakula, meanwhile, helped anchor Quantum Leap together from 1989-1993.

NCIS: New Orleans Season 1 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
