It can be even worse when the time they do get is wasted – and that's the case with many of our TV Fanatic staff picks for most underutilized character on TV ...
Love 'em or hate 'em, it's hard to deny what we thought we were getting when these characters made their entrances isn't what we got. Among the suffering:
- Cole Lockhart on The Affair is relegated to a cuckolded spouse who runs drugs.
- In the small scenes Trip has been given on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he's been overshadowed by new cast members.
- We can hardly stand to talk about poor Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries. If she's not dead or believed dead, she's practically cast aside (witch pun intended!).
