Transparent's Judith Light Speaks on Role, LGBT Education & More
Jim Halterman at . Updated at .One of the most-buzzed about shows this season came from an unlikely place - Amazon Prime - but as we are all watching television differently, the studio found the right show to put it on the map in Transparent.
Created by Jill Soloway, the series is centered on the transition from man to woman by the patriarch of a family, played by Jeffrey Tambor, who just picked up a Golden Globe nomination for the role of Mort/Maura.
However, as Judith Light told me during a recent SAG Foundation panel, the series is about so much more.
During our chat, which you can watch below, Light explains how the show came into her life, playing Shelly and some of the high points of her much lauded career.
