There's a new Ogre coming to Gotham Season 1.

Milo Ventimiglia has been tapped to play Jason Lennon AKA the Ogre. When we say a new Ogre, that's exactly what we mean, because if you intend to connect him to the villain from DC comics of the same name, stop right there as this is a completely new character.

The Ogre is described as handsome, wealthy and seductive. He's also a serial killer who has been a preying on the women of Gotham for almost a decade, subjecting them to a battery of "tests" in his search for a perfect mate. When he inevitably discovers that nobody is perfect, Lennon kills the women swiftly and viciously. He sounds a lot like the killer on Eye Candy with his search for perfection.

Jim Gordon's determination to bring Lennon down coupled with the Ogre's obsessions send the two – and everyone around them – on a course toward tragedy. Ogre will make his first appearance in Gotham Season 1 Episode 19.

Ventimiglia, who appeared in Heroes, is also set to star in The Whispers on ABC later this year.
