ABC has caught Peter Krause for a major fall role.

The former Parenthood star, who used to appear on the network in Dirty Sexy Money, has been cast as the male lead in Shonda Rhimes' upcoming drama, The Catch.

He takes over the past from Damon Dayoub.

The Catch will air on Thursday nights at midseason and tell the story of Mireille Enos as Alice, a successful fraud investigator.

As teased in the following trailer, she becomes victim of fraud herself by her fiancé Kieran (Krause), prompting her to track him down and kick-starting a delicious game of cat and mouse.

The Catch pilot will be written by Hannibal scribe Jennifer Schuur and the series is based on an idea by novelist Kate Atkinson and Helen Gregory.
