“Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network.

“Colony’s performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can’t wait to see where the story takes us.”

Co-creator Cuse is well known in the television industry, having previously created and produced Lost. He is currently an executive producer on both The Strain and Bates Motel

This is co-creator Condal's first series, having previously worked on a pilot that didn't make it to series with Cuse. His inspiration for Colony was the occupation of France by Nazi Germany during WWII and the juxtaposition of everyday people living life under the strain of such conditions.

Colony Season 1 Episode 4 airs tonight on USA and proves to be a game changing hour of the freshman series.
