The Bachelor Season 21 Episode 11 Review: 2110

at .

Here's hoping this is the last time Nick Viall will be looking for love on our TV.

The Bachelor Season 21 Episode 11 brought Nick's journey to an end, but did he walk away alone or with a fiancée by his side?

Cuddling Puppies - The Bachelor

The Bachelor finale is always a big night for the lead, but it's also a big night for Chris Harrison. He hosts a live watch party before the After The Final Rose special and teases the outcome.

This year, the word of the night is "historic." I don't know what could possibly happen on The Bachelor finale that is going to make the history books, but time will tell (and probably disappoint).

It's time to recap Nick's "journey." Andi, rejection, Kaitlyn, rejection, blah, blah, blah. We know the story, ABC. Just tell us the ending.

They might as well just play the cheerleading scene from Zoey 101 on a loop.

Zoey 101 rejected

It's time for Nick's parents to meet his girlfriends. Raven is up first.

You can tell that Nick's family really likes Raven, but they also seem SO over ABC invading their living room to ask them questions about Nick's love life. Especially his dad.

Nick's parents

Raven tells them that she is in love with Nick and ready to marry him.

Nick's mom is crying, but I don't know if it's because she loves Raven, thinks Nick is going to be rejected again or is embarrassed that her son went through with this for a fourth time.

The next day, they get to meet Vanessa. Out with the old and in with the new!

Vanessa isn't so sure she is ready to get engaged, but also tells Nick's parents that she is in love.

My only concern is god forbid he would get rejected again.

Nick's dad

She bonds with his father, and he cries. Like father, like son. #ManTears

After both of the girls are gone, it's time for a family meeting. Watching Nick’s parents and 205980 siblings sit around and talk about his “connections” with two women is wildly uncomfortable.

There’s no denying how confident I felt about Andi and Kaitlyn in the moment.

Nick

And without fail, it always comes back to Nick's past. If I was his sister, I would buy him seasons 10 and 11 of The Bachelorette on DVD for Christmas a joke.

Speaking of Christmas, it's time for Nick's last date with Vanessa. They go horseback riding and Nick surprises her with a special guest... Santa Clause.

Bachelor Santa

I feel like Santa never asked to be included in Nick's narrative.

It’s nice to see Santa Clause sees a future with Nick and I.

Vanessa

I would also like to point out that both of these people are over the age of 30, and they should not be seeking approval or advice from Santa. I'm just sayin'.

After they sat on Santa's lap and asked for true love for Christmas, they went back into the snow for a fire. Vanessa is clearly freezing, but instead of giving her his gloves, he is kissing her hand repeatedly. Vanessa should have walked away right here.

Nick and Vanessa by the fire

It turns out Vanessa still doesn't know how this show works because she keeps asking Nick if he knows what he is going to do. Normally, I would understand if a woman wanted to know if her boyfriend planned to propose, but this is The Bachelor.

When I’ve been with you, I’ve only thought of you.

Nick

She needs to worry less about getting answers, and more about how she is going to find her next 15 minutes of fame.

It's Raven's turn to freeze in the snow with Nick one last time.

They go ice skating, which is a callback to their first date rollerblading.

Nick is trying to be cute, but looks like an idiot trying to dance on the ice. It's a good thing Skating With The Stars was canceled after one season.

Raven is super confident that her and Nick are going to get engaged, which is usually a sign she's about to get her heartbroken. Unlucky for her, this is the year ABC decided to finally be diverse and Rachel already got the Bachelorette gig.

I hope my kids with Nick are as cute as these puppies. A little less hairy, but as cute.

Raven

Nick brings out puppies, and I would rather have one of these huskies than a Neil Lane ring.

Raven puppies

Nick reunites with his best friend Neil Lane, and picks out an engagement ring for the fourth time. He explains how hard it is to pick out the perfect ring, but if anyone should feel confident finding a ring, it should be Nick Viall.

Finally doing this?

Neil Lane

Raven is the first one out of the car, which confirms that she is about to get dumped. She looks great though, so things could be worse.

Nick lets Raven give her speech about how much she loves and cares about him, which always rubs me the wrong way. Nick should have taken a page from Andi's playbook and sent her home the morning of the rose ceremony.

Nick: I'm really going to miss you.
Raven: I know.

He's crying more than her, which is a plot twist since she couldn't stop talking about how she had "no doubts or reservations" about marrying him.

Raven's limo is probably taking her from Finland straight to Mexico for Bachelor in Paradise. Cheer up and drink a margarita, girl.

It's Vanessa's turn to go to her final rose ceremony.

Nick comes right out and tells her that he's in love with her and sees a future with her. He's crying (again), but this time, I think it's happy tears.

He manages to stop crying long enough to propose, and now it's Vanessa's turn to be hysterical. She accepts (the ring and the final rose).

Nick: Should we go start a life?
Vanessa: Let's go do it.

I've actually been surprised by how many Bachelor couples have been staying together in recent years. Kaitlyn and Shawn, Ben and Lauren, JoJo and Jordan... will Nick and Vanessa make it too? I'm giving them until the end of the summer, but only time and Instagram will tell.
