Serial killers have long been a thing of fascination for a lot of people, and judging by the sheer amount of shows that focus on this sub-genre, it seems like this is a morbid curiosity that isn't going away anytime soon.
For us, trying to stomach all that violence and sadism can be difficult at times. Thankfully, some casting directors, in their infinite wisdom, came up with a perfect solution -- sexy killers. Yeah, that's right. Everything is a little bit more watchable when the person doing it is extremely attractive.
To that end, we searched far and wide, and sifted through a lot of shows to put together a list of 27 individuals who are, without question, the most seductive serial killers in the history of TV!! Feel free to get in on the action by letting us know which smoking hot murderer we didn't include that you believe deserves a spot.
1. Norman Bates (Bates Motel)
His personal life is the stuff of nightmares and his grip on reality is tenuous at best, but on the outside, this is one killer who can charm anyone with that adorable face. If you do visit him, remember to always knock before you enter. I don't think he'll take kindly to you walking in while he's in the middle of wearing a dress and psyching himself up for his transformation into "Mother".
2. Paul Spector (The Fall)
A regular, mild-mannered guy who works as a bereavement counselor. That means he's a good listener, maybe too good a listener because he will murder you in your sleep if the chance presents itself. The thing is, when he looks like that, not a lot of people would object.
3. Elaine Shepard (Rellik)
After surviving horrific abuse as a child, she grew up to be a cop who exploited her position as an officer of the law to identify her victims. Being a Police officer aside, how can anyone suspect her of such evil deeds when she basically looks like an angel with a bob cut.
4. Robbie Womack (Frequency)
Like a lot of his "murdery" peers and his father before him, something went terribly wrong during Robbie's childhood and he became unhinged right from a tender age. Good thing for us he grew up to be such a looker because, under the right circumstances, we'd definitely let him bind our wrists with a Rosary.
5. Piper Shaw (Scream)
The smart, unassuming host of a popular podcast who decided to follow in the footsteps of her father. It didn't take much convincing to get her boyfriend on her side. She probably appealed to his inner demons or something, but we're pretty sure that's not the only reason he joined her.
6. Hannibal Lecter (Hannibal)
He is cool, calm and immaculately dressed at all times. He'll invite you over for dinner, but chances are you're going to be on the menu as well, and we don't mean that in a sexual way at all even if a lot of people wished we did.
7. Sheila Hammond (Santa Clarita Diet)
Don't let the endearing smile and seemingly perfect suburban life fool you because this woman is a vicious zombie who will carve you up and stick you in her freezer. Getting parts of your body cut off and blended into a smoothie isn't exactly on anyone's Christmas wishlist, but if she was to ask nicely, we're not sure we'd be able to resist offering ourselves up.
8. Dexter Morgan (Dexter)
He is so hot even his sister fell for him. Yeah, that'd make for a weird ad slogan. However, we're here talking about the most eligible serial killers, so maybe we shouldn't throw stones in glass houses. The point is, he's hot and no one would mind getting a piece of that.
9. Angela Early (Those Who Kill)
A nurse at an assisted living home who hid under the cover of her job to perpetrate her crimes. Sadly, she killed herself in police custody before we got to know her better, but she was quite memorable.
10. Andrew Cunanan (The Assassination Of Gianni Versace)
He may have taken the fashion genius that is Gianni Versace from us, but Cunanan is one cute guy, and the whole bespectacled hottie thing he had going totally works. The line between a spree killer and a serial killer is paper-thin, and he is one of the few who successfully blurs that line.
11. Connor Lovell (Midnight, Texas)
So sweet. So innocent. At least that's what you'd think when you first lay eyes on this gorgeous specimen. He also cares deeply for his sister, which was also cute until he tried to kill her. Still, there is no denying he is one good-looking dude.
12. The Countess (American Horror Story: Hotel)
She's like a thousand years old, and has a penchant for slicing open people's throats and lapping up the blood like it was from a chocolate fountain, but even those will not be strong enough deterrents when she invites us over.
13. Joe Carroll (The Following)
Highly intelligent with a smolder that could melt a steel bar. This man was charismatic enough to inspire a whole cult of serial killers who basically worship him.
14. Villanelle (Killing Eve)
Find something you love doing and you'll never work a day in your life. That is clearly Villanelle's mantra because she absolutely loves her job. Her electric chemistry with the equally obsessed Eve is something we'll never get enough of. When the day comes when someone orders a hit on us, we'd want it to be Villanelle who shows up on our doorstep.
15. Mary Ann Cotton (Dark Angel)
A true black widow who murdered her husbands so she could collect on their insurance policies. With the benefit of hindsight, we can see why men kept lining up to marry her despite the long line of dead spouses. What is a little death compared to the joy of waking up next to a beautiful, cultured woman like that?
16. Kilgrave (Jessica Jones)
The life of a serial has got to be hard given the cover-ups that follow every kill, but Kilgrave doesn't have to worry about any of that. That ample free time is probably why he always has perfectly coiffed hair and is able to pull off a purple suit with so little effort.
17. Kent Grainger (Wicked City)
He was officially nicknamed the Sunset Strip killer. His M.O is luring women into sexy situations before torturing and killing them. He wouldn't have been able to pull something like that off unless he had the looks and the charisma to match. His victim count is proof that he does.
18. Lovina Birdie (Damaged)
The lead character in this Indian web series who is totally incapable of feeling any remorse, you know, like a true psychopath. She barely puts in the work to identify her victims because people are drawn to her. She looks like someone you'd love to hang out with, until you don't, at which point it'll be too late.
19. Stefan Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)
It's not every day you learn that your dreamy boyfriend went through a serial killer phase like you would puberty, but that is one of the privileges being an immortal vampire can afford you. Would you dump him after a revelation like that? I definitely won't. Not when he looks like that.
20. Sylar (Heroes)
Easily the best part of Heroes during its heyday. Sylar tracked down every superpowered individual he could and murdered them so he can take their powers. He managed to avoid detection for a while, and it's not hard to see why.
21. Landry Clarke (Friday Night Lights)
It started with an arbitary murder borne of a jealous rage. But I guess everyone has to start somewhere, right? Slowly, the remorse he felt began to fade until it was no longer there. His next victim was a little kid, then a single mother, and he just kept going from there. Still, a hot body always trumps evil character any day.
22. Rene Lenier (True Blood)
His hatred for the supernaturals of Bon Temps, especially the vampires and the people who associated with them made him a despicable person we want nothing to do with. Then we look at that body and that face, and all those concerns go straight out the window. He even made growing a mustache and a goatee seem like great ideas.
23. Betty Beaumontaine (Wicked City)
She was supposed to be The Sunset Strip killer's next victim. Instead, he fell in love with her. He went a step further and asked her to commit murders with him. Not that I'd know anything about it, but I imagine that is like the serial killer equivalent of a marriage proposal.
24. George Foyet (Criminal Minds)
You may remember him as the Boston Reaper. He has that scruffy, middle-aged man vibe that a lot of people dig. He's also got those greying temples that can make you want to rationalize his violent, brutal ways.
25. Danny Mascarenhas (Breathe)
One of the few serial killers around we have found ourselves rooting for, time and time again. He tracks down and tries to kill all the people above his daughter on the heart donor list. If you can get past the killing part, this man is a total hunk with a heart of gold who is only doing what he can to say the one he loves.
26. Lizzie Borden (The Lizzie Borden Chronicles)
After being tried and acquitted for the murder of her parents, Lizzie returns home with her reputation in tatters. In spite of the side-eye she gets from the townspeople, she rocks her corsets, bonnets, and gloves like it's no one's business. If you think she already has an overabundance of confidence and finesse, then wait until you see her wield an ax.
27. Kieran Wilcox (Scream)
His girlfriend lit the torch and he decided to keep it burning after she was gone. Murder was his way of coping with his daddy issue because therapy is for suckers. Again, there is an argument to be made that when you look as good as he does, you get a free pass.
