There wasn't any terrorism on FBI Season 1 Episode 3, but that doesn't mean things were any less intense as OA and Maggie took on a human trafficker! Let's break down this wild ride of an episode!

Moving away from terrorism was a great choice. Not only because it showed that the FBI does handle more than just terrorism on local soil, but because it showed the wide range of skills Maggie and OA possess.

Maggie is clearly more than just a field agent. I'm starting to think she has some type of intelligence unit in her extensive background. She's a great agent, but she seems to have a wide range of knowledge that has to come from more than just field work.

She did get her ass kicked, and that was a little disappointing to watch since Maggie has been such a badass since the beginning. But she is only human and I think it actually helped show that a little.

OA: The killer removed the same piece of skin from the same spot on all the victims.
Maggie: All the girls probably have the same brand.
OA: So all the victims worked for the same ring and the brand was removed so the bodies couldn't be tied to them.
Maggie: No signature, no serial killer.
OA: So who are we looking for?
Maggie: A trafficker.

Plus, the entire fight didn't go to waste, so in the scheme of things, it kind of made it worth it. Bloody fingerprints at the cost of a few stitches to the eyebrow kind of seems like a fair trade-off.

Maggie's killer one-liners and desire to win while not letting anything keep her down for long also kept her on top of the fight. Though I would really like to see more of her background to find out just what it is that keeps her so determined to win.

But she wasn't the only one with killer skills as Kristen once again proved that she's always going to be the smartest one in the room. Her hacking abilities are way more than impressive and border on terrifying. I'm just glad she's on the good side!

Kristen: Every digital photo contains metadata. The specific settings of the device taking the photo.
Maggie: So, it's like a fingerprint for cameras?
Kristen: Exactly. So, I ran facial recognition against old escort personal ads in the just for johns site. Found one with a photo of Hayley. And created an algorithm to search for any photos with the same fingerprint as Hayley's.
Maggie: So you have the camera's fingerprints?
Kristen: Well, could be a cell phone. I found nine photos of girls so far. Then, I ran facial recognition against all inbound Ukranian visas and voila! Nine of the advertised women match with nine Ukranian visas.
OA: That's a before and after a guy with three sisters doesn't need to see.
Kristen: Nine names for nine of our victims.
Jubal: Nice work.

I loved that Dana made the decision to put Jubal in the field. Not only did he deserve his chance to shine, but going undercover as a john was just about the coolest assignment for him to go on. Learning Jubal used to work in Vice was a nice bonus, too!

Jubal has kind of been like the comedic relief so far and sometimes has me questioning what type of authority role he actually holds. But he was not only able to keep his sense of humor undercover, but also take down Snake.

Kristen: The just for johns personal site is no longer offering incall services, only outcall.
OA: Right. Because they don't have the townhouses anymore, so they're offering the girls to the customers.
Dana: What are you proposing?
OA: We set up a date. By then, we'll have the warrants.
Jubal: We take down whoever is delivering the girls at the same time as we raid the townhouses.
Dana: A sting. I like that.

Snake was the biggest piece of crap to ever grace television and I can't think of a more appropriate name for him. I know there was a point that they actually revealed his real name, but I'm going to stick with Snake.

Maggie taking him down physically and then verbally has got to be a moment that will go down in television history. Snake losing his composure while Maggie kept a smile was ridiculously satisfying and is a scene I could watch on repeat forever.

The partnership between Maggie and OA is also something that's been magical. He never seems to crowd Maggie or question her decisions. He's just there for her and always stands beside her. The fact that Maggie does the same for him really shows the strength of their partnership.

Dana taking over as Agent in Charge of Jubal's team had me a little worried in the beginning, but she has proven herself as more than a valuable asset. Dana is actually quite the badass herself and I want to see her in action next!

Especially since there was a moment where it seemed like Dana was going to do the interrogating. Now that it's in my head, all I can think about is Dana going out in the field and kicking some serious ass!

Dana: Jubal, you worked vice. Feel like getting out on the job?
Jubal: Uh, sure. Why not?
Dana: Done. Suit up.
Jubal: You got the JOC, man! That sounded weird.

Maybe I was just thrown off by how nice she was to Maggie and OA. Not that a boss being nice is a bad thing, but it seemed weird that she wasn't going to assert her position from the moment she became part of the team.

But it certainly wasn't because she didn't have the authority. Seeing her reasonably shoot OA down was the epitome of a boss move and has me feeling like it won't be the last time Dana steps up and puts the other agents in their place.

Saying Hayley was a naive idiot seems harsh, but she was kind of a naive idiot. How many times does the story of a young girl trusting a stranger in a different country and ending up trafficked have to happen?

It's not just a trope that is seen on television, it's something that is constantly going on in everyday life. Don't believe everything on the internet and don't trust strangers with your life and you'll probably have better chances of a long life.

Hayley got lucky, but eighteen other girls didn't. Hopefully, Hayley will be grateful she's still alive and learn her lesson about not only trusting a stranger but also trusting a stranger from a different and unfamiliar country.
