TV Ratings Report: Manifest and Magnum PI Sink

at .  Updated at .

The only way was down for most shows on the broadcast networks on Monday night.

After premiering to a 2.2 rating last week, Manifest Season 1 Episode 2 eased off four-tenths in the 18-49 demo.

Still, it was the highest-rated scripted show of the night. Unlike last week, however, it did not build on The Voice.

Cal and Olive - Manifest Season 1 Episode 1

The veteran singing competition had a 1.9 rating for its first hour for its first hour of the night, and a 2.1 rating in the second.

It's commendable that it held steady with last week given that everything else was down on the night.

Over on CBS, Magnum PI went fractional with a 0.9 rating. That was down three-tenths from last week's premiere.

It did have a higher lead-in last week. The Neighborhood debuted with a solid 1.3 rating, while Happy Together had a meager 1.0.

Magnum in Trouble - Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 2

These numbers are down considerably from The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon last week. They had a 2.4 rating and a 1.7 rating, respectively.

But both new comedies are up slightly from Kevin Can Wait and 9JKL's year-ago figures.

Given that new shows typically drop 10 to 20 percent in their second episodes, time will tell whether the new series will be able to stick around.

Voire Dire - Bull

Bull closed off the night by shedding a tenth to 0.8. Maybe the Monday move was not a good one after all.

Over on ABC, Dancing With the Stars slipped from its weak season premiere, averaging just a 0.9 rating across two-hours.

Sophomore drama, The Good Doctor continued to be on the downside year-to-year with a 1.2 rating.

Fox drama's The Resident and 9-1-1 were relatively steady, pulling in a 1.0 rating and a 1.5 respectively.
