Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 3 Review: To Witch Hell and Back

It got a little hot on Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 3 before the heartbreak came.
Not only did Fiji have to make a tough choice regarding her relationship with Bobo, but the Rev spilled secrets and decided it was time to move on from Midnight.
But at least we were treated to two very sexy shower scenes to help ease the anguish.
Fiji got all hot and bothered watching Bobo in the shower, but banning sex with Bobo ended up not being the reason bad things were happening to him.
He's the love of her life, but when Manfred risked his life and switched places with her Aunt Mildred from the other side, Aunt Mildred didn't tell Fiji what she wanted to hear.
Fiji can try to fend Bobo off all she wants, but he's not going to let her go so easily.
He's going to figure out that there's some other reason behind her breaking up with him, and she probably should have been honest with him instead of just breaking it off in the church.
It's not like Bobo will be able to turn his feelings off in an instant, and he's going to want answers.
How can she go to loving him like a mad woman to telling him he's not the one?
She has to realize that he's not just going to walk away, and this is going to create more issues and more dangerous situations for him.
Unless he leaves Midnight, and that's probably what she's hoping happens.
If I recall correctly, he's been a Midnighter forever, so for him to give up his shop and the bar doesn't seem feasible.
But maybe Fiji's rejection will be enough to convince him it's time to go. It might be easier for him to leave town and his heartbreak behind than have to face her regularly in town.
There's always the chance she can reverse the curse, and I'm surprised she gave up so easily.
Who knows if Aunt Mildred was being truthful?
Manfred hoped that Patience might be able to help, but there's nothing she or Kai can do with witch's curses.
It's curious that Midnighters are leaving the town left and right since Patience and Kai came to town.
Creek had already decided to leave back on Midnight, Texas Season 1, but it did seem she was considering staying until the events of the hotel pushed her over the edge and out of Midnight.
Now, the Rev has left town too.
After witnessing Kai's ability to suck out the powers of the supernaturally inclined on Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 3, the Rev decided to relieve himself of his werebeing curse to live a normal life.
Having to be chained up everytime the full moon comes isn't anything to be envied, but it's surprising the Rev would leave knowing that evil is returning to Midnight.
But as we learned he's not a real reverend, and besides, who would want a curse like the one he had? It can't be fun having an uncontrollable bloodthirst every month.
We knew during the offseason that Yul Vazquez wouldn't be returning to the series, so there had to be a good reason for the Rev to no longer be a part of Midnight. While it's sad to see him go, the send-off was fitting.
Still, it's hard not to try to connect Patience and Kai to his leaving.
Is it possible that Kai and Patience want to rid Midnight of all it's protectors to make it a free haven for the evil?
It seems that Manfred might be next up on the hit list.
Patience made it clear she's attracted to him and took advantage of Kai being out of town to ask Manfred out for drinks.
At first, he declined, but when she had a phone fight with Kai, he felt sorry for her and decided to take her up on her earlier offer.
She has to know that Manfred isn't happy with his curse, and while it's useful at times and he thinks it's a part of him he has to keep, I'm going to guess that she's going to try to convince him otherwise.
And since he learned through Fiji's hair ritual that she's supposed to be trustworthy, Patience is in a perfect position to manipulate.
It's weird that Manfred wasn't more outraged or something about the hidden head and her passing the hair test shouldn't have put his red flags down as quickly as it did.
But he's still reeling from his own heartbreak about Creek so his love defenses are down and Patience knows this.
Hopefully one of the other Midnighters will put a stop to it before it gets out of hand, but Manfred isn't the only one who's about to get manipulated.
Joe is having the time of his life going on demon hunts with his new friend Walker, but there's something not right about the guy.
It's weird that not only did he show up around the time Kai and Patience did, but he's also gay. It's a little too convenient.
Patience is stirring the pot in Midnight unbeknownst to anyone -- at least that's my theory. The only question is why?
