Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 20 Review: The Day It All Came Together

at .

Even though I didn't particularly care for Hannah, it was still heartbreaking to watch what Magnum had to go through at the end of Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 20.

She was obviously telling the truth about why she lied and betrayed Magnum and his team, but I can't help but wonder why she just didn't ask for his help before?

If she was able to involve him now, she could have involved him earlier.

And I'm not sure I'm buying the many years process and hoops she had to jump through in order to save her father.

Nevertheless, Magnum was determined to help her when she showed up injured at his door mostly because he wanted to know if their love was a lie but also because it involved his most recent case.

Rick and T.C. weren't happy to see her again. Rick especially was furious Magnum was even considering helping her.

He was right, too.

It was just the fact that she caused them to go through hell in Afghanistan but also because she broke Magnum's heart.

Magnum loved her. He was going to marry her and have a family with her. She was the bright light in his life and what she did to them all was abhorrent.

So it was pretty ballsy of her to show up and ask for their help after all she did.

Kumu wasn't a fan of hers either and Kumu's response to Hannah when she asked for water was hilarious!

I'd feel the same way if someone held a gun on me, too.

I get that Hannah had no choice in the matter if she wanted a chance to explain herself to Magnum and the others, but Hannah messed with the wrong person.

Hannah's interruption in Magnum's life also caused him some issues with the Feds because of the counterfeit money which was highly unpleasant for everyone involved.

Katsumoto was quick to come to Magnum's defense, but, again, because of Hannah, the relationship they had developed took twenty steps backward after all the drama was over.

Their relationship will survive, but Katsumoto is going to have a hard time trusting Magnum again. It's going to take a while.

Magnum had to follow his gut, but he was stupid to lie to Katsumoto again and keep him out of the loop.

If Magnum would've been upfront about what was happening and why I'm pretty sure Katsumoto would have been all in.

And with his assistance, they could have solved the problems sooner.

Be as it may, Magnum does what he wants and rarely thinks things through. I'm always surprised when the rest of the team willingly follow him even though they know what he's doing is stupid.

Higgins didn't have a history with Hannah so her jumping right in was understandable.

Rick isn't Happy - Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 20

And while T.C. and Rick did, it was still surprising they didn't just walk away no matter their concern about Magnum.

But family is family and a good one will always have your back as all of them proved.

Still, it's maddening, and I wish just once they'd all put Magnum in his place and stop letting him walk all over them.

One bright light in all of the drama was Magnum asking Higgins to be his partner.

Higgins and Magnum Private Investigators sounds great.

Higgins didn't give him an answer yet, but she's already part of the team so why shouldn't she make it official?

She's a badass, and I loved seeing her at Magnum's side holding that automatic rifle.

T.C. Has a Decision to Make - Magnum P.I. Season 1 Episode 20

At least Magnum will make more money than he does now because Higgins will make sure they take cases that will make them money.

Sure, Magnum isn't all about money, but he should be doing more moneymaking jobs than not.

There shouldn't be any reason for Higgins not to take on the challenge but there was a mystery thrown in about her taking off for a few days.

It could just be she needed some time away to clear her head after the yacht hijacking, or it could be something else.

If it is important, it won't be revealed until Magnum Season 2.

"The Day it All Came Together" was a solid finale to a season that was tons of fun! It began being all about family and ended being all about family with drama, romance and lots of action thrown in.

I can't wait to see what's in store for Magnum Season 2 and whether or not Higgins and Magnum become official!
