Kurt Sutter Fired by FX After Complaints of 'Abrasive' Behavior

Kurt Sutter has been let go from his role as co-showrunner on Mayans M.C.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that FX has fired Sutter following a string of complaints surrounding his behavior.
Sutter broke the news of his firing to the cast and crew of the Sons of Anarchy spinoff, even going as far as describing himself as an "abrasive dick."
FX CEO John Landgraf and Disney TV Studios and ABC Entertainment chairman Dana Walden are said to have been the ones to make the stunning decision.
No other details about what went down on the set have been made available at this time.

Despite being let go from Mayans MC and FX, his overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV remains intact, so the company is open to working with him again.
Sutter created Sons of Anarchy, which became one of the most-watched shows on cable for FX.
That show lasted seven seasons.
He went on to co-create the spinoff Mayans MC, which launched last fall.
The show is about halfway through its second season, which has already wrapped.
Sutter previously said that he would step down from his executive producer role if she series snagged a third season renewal.
“It’s time for the white man to leave the building,” he told the audience at the Hollywood screening, before saying that given the show's subject matter, a person of color should be in charge of the writers' room.

Before working on Sons of Anarchy, Sutter worked on The Shield as a writer and producer.
Post-Sons of Anarchy, he created The Bastard Executioner, a short-lived drama that lasted just one season on FX.
Despite making no public statement, Sutter shared a photo on Instagram early Thursday, with the following caption:
"The happiest place on earth."
