This episode took us through the motions and should be renamed heart to heart.

On The Flash Season 6 Episode 1, we dealt with the aftermath of Nora's passing and were introduced to our villain for the first half of the season.

This episode brought the best mix of what makes The Flash great, and it's only going to get better.

Though there were several tear-jerking moments, we also got to laugh and have great conversations that were long overdue.

Also, look at Joe's backyard! This show has been on for six years; why isn't more time spent back there? It looks great!

Kamilla seems to be spending more time with the team, but it's unclear how that will play out yet.

Surely, she'll have a purpose beyond being Cisco's girlfriend, otherwise, why give her screentime?

During The Flash Season 5, she was hired as Iris' photographer, so hopefully, we see the two women fully engaged in bringing the Central Citizen off its feet and into the successful publication it's known for in the future.

Thankfully, the majority of Iris' time was spent being a journalist and using the information she gathered to help the team with their case of the week.

Iris pointed the team in Chester's direction and uncovered his connection to the black hole.

Hopefully, this pattern continues, and we are not left with her roaming the halls of Star Labs again.

Caitlin's old friend Ramsey Russo's mother died, and she attended the funeral, getting asked out to coffee to "catch up."

It turns out, he doesn't have the hots for Caitlin, but he was desperate to get more dark matter to cure HLH cancer.

He was furious at Caitlin for refusing.

Surely, that will come back to bite her at some point, considering he injected himself with something and now has transformed into who knows what.

Speaking of Caitlin, she was having issues with her powers.

Logically, one would think it had something to do with Nora -- maybe Frost bonded with her offscreen, or she's began to fear death.

It never occurred to me that she felt trapped in Caitlin. You never think about her until trouble emerges.

That conversation between Ralph and Killer Frost showed how much he has grown through his experiences since we met him in The Flash Season 4.

The honesty about his feelings during his time with Devoe turned the tide.

Killer Frost was able to have an open conversation with Caitlin about wanting her own life.

It will be really exciting to see her take the reigns and build a life for herself.

Iris: But it won’t be our Nora. The one that we knew, that we have pictures of, grew to love, you know, that Nora is gone forever.
Cecile: Iris, you don’t get to cheat the grieving process just because you know you are going to see Nora again someday.

Who Might Give Up Their Life In The Impending Crisis

Iris opening up to Cecile about Nora was heartbreaking.

Their dynamic has always been special since Cecile is the only mother figure Iris has interacted with in a positive way.

She is 100% correct that even if she has children and Nora gets reborn, Nora will not be the same Nora. Having a child fade from existence is such a trauma.

Nora will not be the Nora that Iris fought so hard with whom to get close and build a relationship.

Nora's timeline has disappeared, and Iris will never see her again.

I cannot imagine how painful that realization must be for a parent. Even if Barry and Iris have another daughter, they will always miss Nora.

That pain may never go away, and that is terrifying.

So I can avoid what scares me the most. I’ll never get over this.

The fact that they were both pretending to be okay was not working. Barry was obsessing about work, and Iris was obsessing over her lost jacket.

I have to admit seeing the jacket again made me miss Nora. I know people have mixed feelings about her, but I loved the girl.

She was a fun, naive, blabbing breath of fresh air. She just made you repeat the phrase, "bless her heart." R.I.P.

When Barry and Iris shared the truth about how they are feeling? Oh man. Bring all the tissues. The pain that they are dealing with is just devastating.

Speaking of reveals, Monitor met with Barry and Iris revealing that there is nothing he can do to stop Barry's death. Barry is fated to disappear, and that is what will play out.

Though, in true Team Flash fashion, they will do whatever it takes to change the future. They have done it before. They will do it again.
