These Couples Need To Be Left in 2019

at .

Whether they broke up this year or they're still going strong, there are some couples we want to leave in the past.

They either have a lack of chemistry, a lack of respect for each other, or are simply better off as friends. Whatever the reason is for our dislike, we're ready to embrace some new relationships with the new year.

We created a list below of 13 couples who need to stay in 2019!

Nick and Nancy - Nancy Drew

A Clue - Nancy Drew Season 1 Episode 3

Nancy and Nick were cute originally, but the more Nancy Drew Season 1 goes on, the more obvious it is that Nancy will never be able to open up to Nick the way that she needs to.

Nick deserves someone who will be honest with him, and Nancy deserves someone she doesn't feel like she needs to hold back around.

There are characters on the show who would be a better fit for both of them, and it's time to let go and move on to bigger and better things.

Tim and Rachel - The Rookie

Out of all the pairings on The Rookie, Tim and Rachel haven't had much of an impact on the story or the audience.

Rachel isn't a bad character, and her chemistry with Tim isn't horrible, but The Rookie could do better.

Besides, is anyone else hoping for an eventual romance between Tim and Lucy?

Rue and Jules - Euphoria

There's no denying that Rue and Jules were cute at first. All viewers were rooting for them to get together during the beginning of the series.

However, Jules didn't always treat Rue the way that she deserved to be treated, and Rue ended up spending a good amount of time repairing her relationship with Lexi.

It may not be a popular opinion, but Rue and her best friend would make a much better and healthier couple than the alternative.

Jane and Ryan - The Bold Type

Jane and Pinstripe were an incredible couple until Ryan ruined everything.

Our hearts broke for Jane when she found out about Ryan's infidelity, yet she decided to give him a second chance

While we respect Jane's choice, the spark between the couple is gone, and a relationship that was once so beloved feels tainted. Odds are, it'll fizzle out.

Dex and Miles - Stumptown

Dex and Miles's dynamic has been complicated ever since Stumptown Season 1 Episode 1.

We won't deny that the two have had some great moments, but their relationship is based on lies and deceit.

Sorry, but that doesn't usually make for a very healthy couple.

Simone and Chidi - The Good Place

Soulmates - The Good Place Season 4 Episode 5

Simone and Chidi have been together two times too many. They had mild chemistry, but they never worked as a couple.

Their relationship didn't end well the first time, and it definetely didn't end well the second.

Chidi and Eleanor may not have been actual soulmates, but as Michael said himself, soulmates are made, not found. It would be a slap in the face for them to end up with anyone other than each other.

Lucifer and Eve - Lucifer

Very few viewers supported the romance between Lucifer and Eve, given that Lucifer spent the entire show in love with Chloe.

Although they were a trainwreck as a couple and Eve constantly tried to bring out the worst side of Lucifer, Eve was a great addition to the cast.

We may want to leave their relationship in the past, but hopefully, Eve will stick around in the future.

Jackson and Maggie - Grey's Anatomy

Jackson and Maggie's relationship has been off and on, so we're never quite sure where they stand.

But with the new year approaching, we think it's time for Grey's Anatomy to hit the stop button on this couple once and for all.

None of Jackson's relationships have ever come close to matching the chemistry he had with April, so this is us begging the show to bring her back in 2020.

Isobel and Noah - Roswell, New Mexico

We couldn't be more thankful that Noah is out of the picture. Isobel and Noah's marriage is something that we, along with Isobel, long to forget.

Isobel deserves a love interest that doesn't try to kill her, and marries her for love, rather than to carry out his creepy and twisted agenda.

Isobel might benefit from some time alone in Roswell, New Mexico Season 2, but when she's ready, hopefully, the writers have something epic in store for her.

Bellamy and Echo - The 100

It's no secret than Bellamy and Echo aren't the most popular couple among fans. Well, it's for a reason.

These two have been together for long enough, and it's about time for The 100 to stop trying to force chemistry that isn't there.

With the last season premiering in 2020, we're still holding out hope that the writers won't make such a hollow relationship endgame.

Lim and Melendez - The Good Doctor

Lim and Melendez aren't an incredible couple, by any means. While there's nothing inherently wrong with them, it simply feels as if The Good Doctor could find more fulfilling partners for both of them.

They may have broken up because their relationship was interfering with their work dynamic, but their feelings are very obviously still there.

Regardless, it would be best for their work and personal life if they found a way to move on for good next year.

Garrett and Colleen - Superstore

Colleen and Garrett - Superstore Season 5 Episode 3

Garrett and Colleen didn't last long, and hopefully, it stays that way.

Dina discovering that Garrett was dating Colleen for real, rather than as a prank, would have been like pouring salt on a wound after the whole bird incident.

In 2020, Dina and Garrett need to admit that they still have feelings for each other and become an official couple, once and for all.

Justin and Jessica - 13 Reasons Why

Despite everything that Justin let happen to her, Jessica and Justin rekindled their romance in 13 Reasons Why Season 3.

While Justin had incredible character development and has done everything in his power to right his wrongs, a romantic relationship between them feels as if it should be completely off the table.

It's a shame, given that the characters have chemistry, but there's no excuse for Justin's actions and no reason for the two to give things another shot.
