Alice Grayson Horton is a character on Days of Our Lives, played by Frances Reid since the very first episode on November 8, 1965.

She appeared on Days up until December 26, 2006 but will be back on screen in the summer, following reports in April 2007 that Reid is suffering from osteoporosis and dementia was no longer be able to appear on Days.

Alice is the Horton family matriarch. She was born in Salem to a blue-collar family and was Tom Horton's high school sweetheart.

Alice and Tom had five children: Tommy, Addie (deceased), Mickey, Bill and Marie. Alice and Tom raised their grandaughter Jennifer after her mother, Laura, was institutionalized.
